The article examines the concept of the digital twin of the city (DTC) as a tool to increase the efficiency of urban development. The interdisciplinary nature of the technology was analyzed using the example of the FSIS UDP "National Spatial Data System" (NSDP). The functions of the DTC and their role in optimizing business processes and reducing costs have been identified.
