The article is devoted to the study of the dynamics of forest fires in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for the period from 2018 to 2022. The main indicators are considered, such as the number of fires, the area of fires, the volume of destroyed timber, as well as economic damage and the costs of fire prevention measures. The paper analyzes the relationship between these indicators and offers recommendations for improving the fire prevention policy of the region. Particular attention is paid to the impact of climate change and anthropogenic factors on the frequency and scale of fires. The results of the study confirm the need for an integrated approach to risk management, including increased funding, the introduction of modern technologies and enhanced preventive measures.
