The existing methods of assessing the competitiveness of the industry are considered, the points that must be taken into account when conducting the assessment are highlighted. A system of indicators is formed, on the basis of which an assessment of the competitiveness of the fishery complex of the Magadan Region is carried out in comparison with the fishery complexes of the Far East regions. A rating of regions is compiled, competitive advantages and weaknesses of the fishery complex of the Magadan Region are highlighted. Recommendations for increasing the competitiveness of the regional fishing industry are formulated.
