The relevance of this article is that the activities of small businesses in agriculture in the regions of Russia play an important role in providing the country with food products of domestic production. Individual entrepreneurs, farms and joint-stock companies make a significant contribution to the agro-industrial complex of the regions in the production of agricultural products. The purpose of the article is to study and analyze the activities of small business entities in the Sverdlovsk region. The article uses the following research methods: the factor analysis method allows us to analyze the influence of individual factors on the resulting indicator for the introduction of new technologies into the production of agricultural organizations. The article also uses methods of analysis and synthesis in the study of individual innovations and their use in agricultural organizations of the Sverdlovsk region. The results of the article are regional data that confirm the significant role of small business forms in the regional agro-industrial complex. Examples are given for individual areas of the Sverdlovsk region, where farms specialize in certain types of agricultural activity. In conclusion, the authors note that small businesses need cooperation for their activities and promotion of their products to agricultural markets not only in the Sverdlovsk region, but also in other regions of the country.
