The article examines the possibility of ensuring the economic security of the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions by providing measures of state support for the railway transport industry, including those aimed at ensuring the break-even of the activities of the FSUE Railways of Novorossiya. FSUE Railways of Novorossiya is a natural monopoly entity that maintains the railway system in the territories of new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the sole owner of public railway transport infrastructure and a carrier. The relevance of the topic is due to the ongoing process of integration of new entities into the economy of the Russian Federation. The article examines the activities of the railway transport industry, the FSUE Railways of Novorossiya and their impact on the economic activities of new constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The main threats to the economic security of the FSUE Railways of Novorossiya are identified, forecasts of performance results are formed and ways to solve the main problems are proposed, which involve respecting the economic interests of all interested parties.
