Abstract (English):
The Syrian tourism industry has suffered greatly. In this regard, there are many questions about how the government can restore its image and reduce the consequences of the crisis. This article analyzes the state of the Syrian historical heritage and the tourism industry before and during the ongoing war, the effectiveness of measures taken by the government. The conclusion is made about the need for active measures, raising the awareness of the local community about the value of its heritage as one of the main causes of looting and destruction, increasing attention to domestic tourism and the importance of attracting tourists from friendly countries.

The Syrian tourism industry has suffered greatly. In this regard, there are many questions about how the government can restore its image and reduce the consequences of the crisis. This article analyzes the state of the Syrian historical heritage and the tourism industry before and during the ongoing war, the effectiveness of measures taken by the government.
