In the article investment opportunities in the country in terms of socio-economic instability, identified constraints and prospects of the formation of their investment potential. Was identified investment opportunities in the country in terms of socio-economic instability and differences identified specifics of the investment behaviour of households between developed countries and Tajikistan. The results of the study showed that households of the country due to non-formation of the institutional environment may not function as a strategic investor was interested in the rise of the domestic economy, strengthening its investment potential.
