В обществе формируется определенная система социальных институтов, которая удовлетворяет его потребности на том или ином этапе развития. Со временем социальные институты видоизменяются, совершенствуются, заменяются новыми в зависимости от новых потребностей и социального заказа. В настоящее время мир кардинально изменился, он совсем не тот, что был несколько десятилетий назад. Экономическая ситуация изменила образ жизни среднестатистической российской семьи, сейчас оба родителя работают для обеспечения семьи всем необходимом, поэтому времени на воспитание детей остается все меньше. Вместе с тем, прогресс не стоит на месте, технологии совершенствуются, знания углубляются, количество информации растет, поэтому многие родители просто не знают, когда и чему нужно учить детей. Период радикальных преобразований во всех сферах жизни общества дал толчок для появления нового социального института - детского центра развития. Детский центр развития - это частная организация, реализующая программы дополнительного образования и воспитания детей от 1 года. Как и любой социальный институт, детский центр развития призван удовлетворить потребность общества в гармоничном и всестороннем воспитании и развитии детей, в максимальном раскрытии детского потенциала.
